Light Years to Yonder

"Light Years to Yonder" is an artist's book accompanying this body of paintings that form part of a personal cosmology - imagined worlds shaped by kinship, journeying, and deep connection across land, sky, and the cosmos. Part dream and part journey, the book traces an encounter between the artist and a small luminous being named Swaroop, and the path they take together along the Astral Starway: through living mountains, celestial cities, rural skies, and moments of gathering, tending, disruption and rest. This is not a conventional storybook, but a visual and textual companion to the exhibition - a reflection on how meaning unfolds through tending and shared rhythms. It invites the reader to imagine other ways of inhabiting the universe - grounded in stewardship, companionship, and wonder without spectacle. Tekla Kridle, March 2026
